As part of our dedication to championing an ethical approach to work, we’re shining a light on the workplaces making work-life more enriching for their employees. This week, we spoke with Reginald Oke: a product designer from Canva, about office life at Canva, and the small things that create an inspiring company culture.
“I think the company culture is really a culture of care: care about everyone, not just employees. So at Canva there’s free lunch and breakfast, made in the office every day. When COVID hit, Canva continued to support the farmers by sending boxes of fresh produce to employees. The Canva chefs continued to cook just as many meals every day even though nobody was in the office, and they donated those meals to homeless shelters. I think that’s just an example of how the culture is ingrained: going above and beyond and really looking after people.”
