After two years of planning and one pandemic, on the 13th and 14th of March 2021 (exactly a year after The Conscious Space 2020 was cancelled due to Covid), TCS took over The Cutaway at Barangaroo – bringing together over 100 incredible brands and inspiring change-makers, all working to bring about a kinder world.
Across the two day event, over 4000 curious humans joined us in the spectacular space, and the collective energy in the room – that which is brought about by curious humans connecting over a mission to create a brighter future – was pretty special.
In a year that saw us all confined to our homes, people across the world became increasingly aware of the value of experiences, and that hunger to connect – to experience in real time – was something we sought to satiate. Here in Australia, we’re lucky enough to have access to so many more experiences than those in more restricted countries, and it’s our duty to make those experiences as accessible and positive as possible.
The Conscious Space exists to enhance the lives of people who want to live with a lighter impact on the earth, and this doesn’t just mean through connecting them with ethical brands, but providing them with nourishing experiences to inspire a more mindful existence. It’s this belief in the importance of experiences that encouraged us to curate The Conscious Space Sydney event with workshops, panels, talks and meditations taking centre stage (literally).
Across the two day event that took place over the 13th and 14th of March, we invited experts in everything from organic food to tarot reading to run practical workshops, discuss diverse topics and share their skill-set and insight with our community. The Sydney programme included free Yoga classes, panel discussions, live musical performances, a live podcast recording and practical workshops in everything from clothing kintsugi to conscious cocktail making.
The aim of the event was to connect ethical brands with conscious consumers, and to help our community understand that a nourishing life is theirs for the taking. Our diverse group of workshop hosts and speakers brought unique insights and perspectives, and allowed guests at The Conscious Space to experience something new, in real life.As restrictions begin to ease and Australia opens up to a post-Covid world, we want to help curious humans live more rewarding lives, and do so in a way that doesn’t feel alienating or exclusionary, but exciting and inviting to everyone.
As The Conscious Space ethos has always maintained: you are welcome here. Stay tuned for ticket info to our next events, and if you’re keen to join the community in a more involved capacity (as a vendor, speaker or workshop host), please feel free to drop us an email.
