Our Office Does: Sukin

As part of our dedication to championing an ethical approach to work, we’re shining a light on the workplaces making work-life more enriching for their employees.

This week, we spoke with the team at Sukin: the brand committed to making sustainable self care accessible to all Australians. Listed as one of Australia’s best places to work by Inventium, we weren’t surprised to learn that the leaders at Sukin have gone above and beyond to inspire, motivate and enrich the lives of their team members through what has been a crazy year in the world of work.

Georgie Robinson joined the Sukin team during the depths of lockdown in 2020, and explained how the playful team ethos helped her feel instantly inspired, connected and involved

“Never before have I smiled, laughed, waved, gestured at a 2D computer screen before. The culture was about really connecting, to the point where when I finally met one of the team members in person, we shared the biggest, longest hug because we really felt like friends,”.

Sukin’s online office has included virtual dress-up parties, trivia games, treasure hunts, quizzes and games to keep the team feeling connected, and their guidance on self care has been shared far beyond the online office. When COVID first hit in early 2020, the Sukin team launched their Self Care Edit: an online destination for their community to share and explore self care tips and tricks, from how to cope when working from home with kids, to their favourite lockdown reads. This commitment to promoting compassion is key to the Sukin ethos, and evident not just in their team culture, but through their charitable initiatives, including their partnership with Reef Aid which you can read about here.

We’d suggest a good scroll through Sukin’s Self Care Edit, and if it’s inspired you to take a little time for yourself, stock up on their range of vegan, all natural, Australian made products here. For bitesize self-care @sukinskincare
