As part of our dedication to championing an ethical approach to work, we’re shining a light on the workplaces making work-life more enriching for their employees.
This week, we spoke with the team behind Verve Super – the ethical super fund that’s committed to creating a fairer economy for women. Unsurprisingly, their office culture celebrates dynamic and daring women, and encourages them to make waves in work and life.
“Much like many companies in 2021, the Verve team currently works remotely. It means we connect digitally and rely on good communication to make the cogs turn daily. But it also means we can be dotted all across Australia – currently Byron Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney!
Working remotely is made easy by the fact our ambitions and values are so closely aligned. Working towards the same goals ensures we can operate independently, taking ownership of projects, while sharing learnings in a way that benefits the entire business. Essentially: no experiences go to waste!
When you’re a small team with a whole heap of projects on the go, it pays to be dynamic. For the Verve team, that’s through the support of digital tools and by leaning on the expertise of external specialists. We’re fortunate to work with a variety of savvy folk – from creative designers to behavioural scientists, and of course, all manner of amazing, women-run businesses.
It’s not all work and no play, though! We make time for casual chats at least three times each week, including a meeting to share our wins while we dance to ‘Diana Ross – I’m Coming Out’. Naturally. We also utilise creative ideation as a way of stepping away from emails and staying motivated, and inspired!”
