What problem is your business solving?

Bel + Co At Home makes shopping for sustainable and ethical homewares accessible to everyone. We help individuals make mindful choices easily, by providing such a wide range of beautiful and functional products. It’s not hard to shop sustainably when it’s all available in the one place. We help people fill their homes with treasures that leave a big imprint on their soul, but a small imprint on the world.


Tell us three unique things about your business:

Each and every item is carefully chosen to ensure it is ethically made with sustainability in mind. In fact, to encourage producers to think sustainably, we champion products that are doing good for the world, and we say NO to products that don’t meet our sustainability and ethical standards. By catering for all budgets, we consciously strive to make sustainable and ethical products accessible to everyone. 


What can attendees expect to see from you at TCS?

We are a fresh face to the market! We are excited to bring you a beautiful store where there’s no need to wonder if each item is sustainable or ethical – it’s all consciously curated. To celebrate our first market appearance, we’re bringing a brand new range of ceramic pieces to exclusively launch at TCS, before we release them in our online store. You can expect new colours, glazes and shapes from Elizabeth Bell’s sustainable ceramics studio. 


Can you tell us a little about your background and where the inspiration came from for your business? 

I’m Belinda – founder and chief curator. Bel + Co At Home was brought to life by my personal passion: the thrill of discovering new treasures for my home that are beautiful and meaningful. I was inspired to help others fill their homes with items that give them a spark – and help them do away with mass-produced soulless budget household items. I saw people wanting to change their consumer habits, but unsustainable and unethical products are too accessible – with tempting price tags too. Consumer habits are changeable. The more we ask for sustainable and ethically sourced products, the more manufacturers realise they need to make better choices. That’s why I was motivated to create a store full of conscious homeware choices that make our homes beautiful, our lives functional, and our world a better place.
