Cardi and Co. is a luxury handmade knitwear brand based in Sydney, Australia. Our key focus is to rekindle the love for thoughtfully designed knitwear, designs that consider all bodies.
Our garments are knitted by hand with ethically produced natural and repurposed yarn sourced from mills around the globe. We believe in small batch qualities, delivered slow, ensuring each piece of knitwear is exclusive and carries bespoke character.
Through our endeavours we aim to give back to humanity. We’re proud to have partnered with B-Corp certified organisation, KOCO (Knit One Change One life), who have taught 250 local Indian women from four villages into highly skilled hand knitters. The artisan communities earn fair wages to support their families and send their children to school.
Cardi and Co. was created by Kate and Ria, full time corporate workers and friends. Our love for slow fashion and the aim to do something meaningful outside of our 9-5 jobs led to this exciting venture.
We stand by our ethical and sustainable fashion business value and every effort is made to reduce waste along the supply chain. Our knitters are based in Australia, India and New Zealand.
At Cardi and Co. we know every body is different and standard garment sizes do not consider body shapes.
Our garments are thoughtfully designed for the wearer to feel the joy of enveloping knitwear. We cater to AU sizes 8-24 via measurements. We believe everyone should have options in fashion and style.
Not to mention ~ no electricity is consumed to produce our garments.
You will see a beautiful range of unique handmade garments including beanies, headbands, scarves and outerwear. One of a kind pieces are on offer and of course, showcasing the stunning yarns in Peruvian Merino and Alpaca with our star cardigan handmade with 100% repurposed textiles!
Cardi and Co. started as a casual conversation between two friends Kate and Ria ~ we wanted to channel our creative energies into something meaningful.
We bonded over our collective love of fashion and envisioned a brand that is inclusive of sizing, planet friendly, provides equal opportunities to artisans and promotes their skills and knowledge.
With this vision in mind, the slow fashion spotlight beamed down on us. We grew up seeing our mothers and grandmothers knit and were instantly drawn towards the idea to promote it.
