Have you ever thought about what traditional bandages are made from?
We did. Turns out it’s mostly plastic, PVC’s and Synthetics that glue to your skin and once finished – end up straight in landfill.
Not only that, but it turns out 1 in 4 people are allergic to traditional wound care and simply have had no alternative solution.
Enter PATCH. Bamboo Bandages that are 100% compostable, zero waste, and suitable for all skin types.
Our problem was three-fold:
What started in a garage on the Melbourne Peninsula was born out of a desire to fix all these problems – and know that there had to be a better solution to create!
What can attendees expect to see from you at TCS?
You can expect a gorgeous range of first-aid items that genuinely look beautiful in your cupboard, but also are 100% compostable in your home soil. Our products are infused with natural ingredients like Activated Charcoal and Aloe Vera so that they nourish the skin and remain functional. At TCS we are so excited to connect and learn from as many locals and like-minded people interested in a conscious lifestyle as possible.
It started with Charlie; a regular Aussie kiddo falling off a playground. After reacting to a traditional adhesive, his dad (our founder) James looked for any alternative on the market, and after coming up empty-handed, he decided to engineer a solution himself. James has spent many years travelling and witnessing first-hand the impact of plastics on the environment, so it was crucial that our product didn’t leave an impact on the earth. 100’s of prototypes and hours spent developing the perfect solution, turned out resulted in something that the world took to immediately – and it’s been a crazy few years of growth.
