Tiny Haus

Please give us your elevator pitch

I work with people who want to live a simpler, happier life. They want to leave the rat race and slow down. I personally work with them to reduce clutter and the needless distractions in their life. I challenge them to get back to what makes them truly happy.

Tell us three unique things about your business

My business and personal life operates in a tiny house of 32 m2 space. I live and breathe my business. My family of four know from personal experience what it takes to go from the stress of working nine to five to a simpler life. Part of my personal coaching involves visiting my beautiful tiny house. I can show you first hand how purging your life of ‘stuff’ can result in a more organised, calm life. We work with you to simplify your life that is in line with your values. Our advice is tailor made to your individual needs, rather than ‘one size fits all’. It’s this personalised approach that sets us apart. The road to simplifying your life is not the same for everyone, so we look at the way that leads to success for you.

What can attendees expect to see from you at TCS?

We will bring a life sized frame of a tiny house for attendees to see what it’s like inside one. We will answer questions and hand out information about simpler living and our lifestyle coaching service. The replica house will have a kitchen and a dining space. You’ll get to experience small space living, how a space can be designed so it brings calm and peace, while giving you a warm and homely feeling.

Can you tell us a little about your background and where the inspiration came from for your business?

If you told me years ago, I’d be living in a 32m2 tiny house as a family of four, I’d have thought you were mad. Yet, we’ve never been happier. Our journey started when we realised, we were caught in the race of wanting more. Our first child was in daycare as soon as the doors opened. We rushed her from one thing to the next while showering her with toys to keep her entertained. It took a health scare to realise this life wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Then I started to do research. We were living our life completely the wrong way. We were so busy ‘keeping up with the Jones’ and not living the life we wanted. So, we started our simple living journey. We cleared out the physical, emotional and online clutter from our lives and started doing things the way we wanted, how we wanted. All of a sudden, we had more time with our family and surprisingly, more money. We decided to commit to an entire shift of how we lived. We built our very own tiny house with kitchen garden, compost and a natural swimming pool. When I look back at our journey, I really wished we had someone to talk to. To help us work out what to do and the practical steps of how to get there. We really needed an experienced lifestyle coach to guide us. We’ve been living our simple journey for about 5 years now. I want to help people on their journey, to be the lifestyle coach that we needed.
