Parafina is a zero waste, sustainable eyewear brand which makes simple, beautiful sunglasses and reading glasses from recycled materials. As well as using 100% recycled materials for their designer eyewear, Parafina donates 5% of profits towards their own social impact project, which gives children in Paraguay access to stable, quality education.
Parafina is an eyewear brand, both sun and reading, that manufacture all it’s frames from recycled materials, collected from landfills. All of our glasses are made transforming different residues or waste like plastic, HDPE or aluminium into great eyewear. Besides, 5% of the income is donated to our own Social Project of scholarships in Paraguay. We are pioneers in the transformation and alteration of residues that later turn into the raw material of our eyewear.
What problem is your business solving?
Every year, 300 million tons of waste is discarded around the world, 85% of these residues are not recycled and end up buried, burnt or floating in the sea, polluting our planet. In Parafina we have the objective of fighting this, collecting the residues before they are burnt, buried or thrown into the sea, to create eyewear. We believe that the basis of any company lies in sustainability and responsible production.
